英語についての質問です。
日本文を英文に書きかえてください。
彼は運転免許証を何年も前に取ったが､あまり運転はしない。
車を運転するのが怖いからでなく､好きではないからだ。

下の方の英文、特にtattyankoさんの英文は、実に不自然です。英語がわからない人が、なんで英語カテゴリーでこんなに回答しているのか、本当に不思議です。英語カテの回答は、間違いがあまりにも多いです。
He got his driver's license years ago, but he doesn't often drive.
↑a few years ago は「数年前」。「何年も前」は many years ago とか years ago。また、often の位置は動詞の前。それと、drive much は絶対に言わない。
It isn't because he is afraid of driving but because he doesn't like it.
↑tattyankoさんの「because not～」なんて語順はありえない。

Of course "often" can be put at the end of a sentence. However, in this case, most native speaker would say "he doesn't often drive". You put "often" after the verb only when you want to put enphasis on it.

I don't agree with you that most native speakers would put the word "often" before the word "drive". It is my experience that most native speakers in America would put "often" after "drive". I also don't think that you should put the word "often" after the verb only when you want to put emphasis on it. There is no difference whether or not you put the word "often" before or after the word "drive".
I am sure my English is correct. It is ridiculous that you would say that my English is not natural when English is my native language.

Because my Japanese isn't so good yet, I don't know if using "many years ago" or "years ago" would be better.
But are you saying that my English is not correct? Did you also say that the word "often" has to be put before the word "drive" in the sentence that I posted? Because I know for sure that the word "often" can be put before and after the word "drive". I know for sure because English is my native language.
Also, the sentence, "It isn't because he is afraid of driving but because he doesn't like it" has the same meaning as "It isn't because he is afraid of driving but because he doesn't like driving." I thought about using the word "it" instead of "driving", but I thought using the word "driving" would make the sentence more clear. The truth is that both sentences are correct though.
